The 2026 Pakistani Mango Season: What Global Buyers Should Know
Sindhri opens the season in late May, Chaunsa peaks in July. A month-by-month buyer's guide from Pakistan's leading exporter.
Pakistan produces over 1.8 million tonnes of mango annually, and its export season runs from late May through September. For buyers planning container schedules, understanding the variety-by-variety calendar is the difference between hitting shelf dates and missing them.
Sindhri, harvested from the orchards around Mirpurkhas, is the earliest premium variety on the water. Its firm flesh and long shelf life make it the workhorse of the sea-freight programmes to the Gulf and Europe. Expect first shipments in the last week of May.
Chaunsa follows in July and remains the flagship of Pakistani exports. Aromatic, sweet and richly coloured, it commands premium prices in the UK, Germany and North America. We recommend booking cold-chain capacity by early June to secure peak-quality fruit.
By September, Late Chaunsa and Fajri wind down the season. Buyers looking for extended supply should consider our controlled-atmosphere programme, which stretches shelf life by up to three weeks without compromising eating quality.
